Cape Cod Cranberry Applesauce Recipe
This crock pot recipe is a quick and easy recipe that is sugar-free and full of antioxidant-rich cranberries and apples. This is lovely on warm toast in the morning too.
Serves: 6 to 8
- 4 pounds (approximately 12) organic apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
- 1 cup Cape Cod cranberries
- 1/4 cup water
- Sugar to taste
- Cinnamon to taste
Add apples and cranberries to the crock pot and pour water over top. Turn heat to low and cook for 6 hours. Remove lid and stir to break up apples and cranberries that may still be in large pieces. Serve as is, or use a blender to smooth it out.
If you want to make this applesauce recipe sweeter, add sugar, brown sugar, or cinnamon to the crock pot before cooking starts.
