A Delightful Baked Eggs Recipe

This is a wonderful Baked Eggs recipe that adds a bit of interest to an otherwise ordinary breakfast. The basic ingredients are just eggs and croutons, however, you can use your imagination and create something new and different by adding your favorite spices or any one of a variety of meats or vegetables. Always sprinkle the top with paprika before popping it into the oven. The paprika gives it a warm glow and adds to the wow factor when presented on a plate with a sprig of basil and a few sliced tomato.


  • 3/4 Cup cubed ham, crumbled bacon, or sausage
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 3/4 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Croutons


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease two 4 inch ramekins. Place meat in each dish. Break two eggs on top of the ham. Place croutons around the edge of the dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Place ramekins on a baking sheet.

Bake for 18-20 minutes until eggs are done.
