The Hydrangea Festival on July 10–19, 2026, highlights one of the region’s most recognizable summer events. We’re talking vibrant displays and thoughtfully designed gardens to make your jaw drop. In Falmouth, the event includes access to two standout spaces that together form one of the most extensive hydrangea collections in North America.

The Cape Cod Hydrangea Society Display Garden features more than 155 cultivars, including many legacy varieties that are no longer grown elsewhere. As you move through each space, companion plantings add depth and offer fresh ideas for garden design.

Daily activities make it easy to explore at your own pace.

  • A self-guided walking tour runs from 10am – 5pm, with helpful insights into the six main hydrangea species.
  • A 30-minute guided tour begins at 11am, offering a closer look at standout plants and the story behind the gardens.

Additional hands-on learning continues at the Hydrangea Discovery Cart from 11:30am to 3pm, where visitors can ask questions and get practical growing tips.

All hydrangea-focused activities are included with admission, and no advance registration is required.
