Falmouth, Cape Cod Beach Review 2010

Cape Cod is home to many of New England’s finest beaches and Falmouth claims an assortment to meet everyone’s needs.

Falmouth beach near Nobska Light

A Falmouth beach near Nobska Light.

Old Silver Beach – With its beautiful Cape Cod white sand…  this beach gets points for being the most beautiful beach in town. This public beach*  has concessions, change rooms, showers and toilets.

Surf Beach – Is one of our favorites because it is a pleasant stroll from the Palmer House Inn. It has a beach house with change rooms and showers. Surf Beach has a wading area with ‘C’ shaped jetties on either side, making it a nice location for families. The jetties are fascistic for tide-pools and sea life exploring.*

Falmouth Heights Beach – This beach is wonderful for long walks and has a lovely view of Vineyard Sound and Martha’s Vineyard. Parking and change rooms are also available. The charming British Beer company has a walk-up service window to satisfy your need for pub grub on the without leaving the sand behind.*

The Knob – This is Falmouth’s most romantic and secluded beach. With spectacular sunsets over Buzzard’s Bay this has to be one of the most romantic places on the Cape to propose to that special someone. This off-the-beaten-path beach, located in Sippewissett, can be difficult to find so be sure to ask Pat & Bill about this beach.

* Public Town Beach means that the town maintains it with cleaners, lifeguards and parking attendants. There is a cost of $10 for parking for the day.
