“The Barnstable County Fair has been an annual summer tradition on Cape Cod for 169 years. The Fair is a place where families can spend the day together and share experiences they can only experience at the Barnstable County Fair.

There are animal shows, 4-H demonstrations, petting zoos, horticulture displays, rides, games, live music, arts & crafts, food and commercial vendors with various arts and crafts for sale.

The Fair features the best in wholesome family fun and entertainment. More than 85,000 people attend with an anticipated 90,000 this year. This is a celebration of the true American art forms of jazz and blues that includes a variety of concerts and a Friday evening free jazz stroll in the park and shops along Main Street, at the Falmouth Museums on the Green, and in the Queen’s Buyway. Check the website for schedule.

The Palmer House Inn, across the street from the Queen’s Byway and the start of the Friday Night Stroll,  is the perfect place to set up your base and venture out to all the festival events.

Falmouth Dream Cruise @ Falmouth | Massachusetts | United States

The scenic seaside town of Falmouth on Cape Cod plays host to this two day event with multiple car shows scheduled. These events are designed for family enjoyment and for the glory of the car.

Historic, Classic, Pre WWII Vintage, and Elegant automobiles, Hot rods and Muscle cars,  Antique and classic automobiles of the 50′s and 60′s, and exotic cars.  Police Department, Falmouth Fire & Rescue, and Barnstable Sheriff’s Department vehicles will also be on display.  In addition there will be automobile dealer vehicle display areas, and a vendor area.


View a few classic cars then stay at a classic bed and breakfast. Our Harriet Beecher Stowe room or Theodore Roosevelt room would be charming choices for this weekend.

Begin the festive weekend by singing carols at Nobska Lighthouse as the winter’s sun sets over Vineyard Sound. Enjoy a heartwarming breakfast with your stay at the Palmer House Inn before zipping out to greet Santa as he arrives by boat at beautiful Falmouth Harbor. Join in the caroling at the lighting of the Village Green, enjoy the hospitality of merchants as you stroll down decorated Main Street before and after the lighting.
