3 Day Intensive Reproduction and Gradient-Direct Technique
With Michael Kruzich - In this intensive three day workshop, students will receive instruction in the use of the hammer and hardie using mixed marble and smalti to hone their cutting skills. Students will gain an understanding of application theory, andamento basics and, through discussion, be introduced to contrast and color selection.

With Carol Shelkin - This is a hands-on workshop using modern, mosaic techniques to understand design, composition and color theory in realism including; structure, cross contour, highlights, gradation, value and types of shadows using high quality Stained Glass.
Make a Mosaic Memory Mirror- exploring Pique Assiette
With Jim Bowen - Pique assiette is the term that is used to describe the style of mosaic that uses broken china and found objects such as beads, shells, and glass. During this two-day workshop, we will utilize the direct method of applying broken china used to form a mosaic. You will also learn how to decoupage paper such as an old photo and place it under glass. Bring in some of your treasures from home to incorporate into your memory mirror.
Working in Reverse: A Workshop in the Indirect Technique
With Cynthia Fisher - In this intensive 3-day workshop, students will focus on various ways to approach creating a mosaic back-splash, and “how-to” tips to make a tabletop or mosaic wall panel, working in the indirect method. A PowerPoint presentation with many examples of the different techniques will be given.
