It is dedicated to quality marine education 1992. Participants cruise station to station aboard the Venture Inn II and enjoy the scenic beauty of Woods Hole. A Discovery Cruse introduces the major disciplines within oceanography. You can become actively involved manipulating equipment, collecting data, and discovering the wonders of ocean science. You can haul a lobster trap, pull a plankton net or reach into the live tank and learn about the natural history of the sea life you capture. (All organisms are safely handled and returned to their natural habitat at the end of each day.) Each discovery cruse is unique. The staff will guide you through discovery and exploration that is relevant, comprehensive and interesting.

The Venture Inn II is docked just 4 miles from the Palmer House the cruse is a great activity for your check-in afternoon. (Be sure to call ahead for reservations.) For more information contact: 800-376-2326, www.oceanquest.org

Cape Cod's Emily Dickinson Room Five

Cape Cod’s Emily Dickinson Room Five

The Palmer House Inn is located just a couple miles from the village of Woods Hole. While all of our rooms have their own individual charm suitable for relaxation after the most wonderful day of adventures, we recommend the Harriet Beecher Stowe room or the Emily Dickinson room. Both rooms feature comfortable king beds, fireplaces, jetted tubs and a relaxing stay before and after your sea-going adventures.
