Falmouth Village is famous for its striking collection of scarecrows displayed throughout October and November. Be sure to visit Falmouth Village to take in the creative scarecrows fashioned by retailers, restaurants and businesses along Falmouth Village’s Main Street and Queens Buyway, welcoming customers.
To add to the fun, be sure to participate in the “scared crow” scavenger hunt too! pick up a registration sheet from businesses throughout Falmouth Village, then look for the scared crows inside participating stores. There are at least 20 of them! Find all the scared crows and your name will be entered into a drawing for prizes from participating businesses. It’s easy, fun and free! No purchase required.
Top decorators and designers showcase their talents in the elegant rooms of Highfield Hall. The event also features an extensive Gift Gallery, a tea Shoppe with home-made goodies, a wreath display and sale, and pop-up holiday how-to tables. Santa will be available by the elegant fireplaces on weekends. Special exhibits include Salley Mavor’s Pocketful of Posies Christmas tree and doll house display. Bill Hendel’s extensive international crèche collection will also be on view. The popular model train room is back this year, through Dec. 1.
Highfield Hall is located a short stroll from the Palmer House.
The crisp snap of seasonal glitter starts with the Holidays by the Sea Weekend in Falmouth. Begin the festive weekend by singing carols at Nobska Lighthouse as the winter’s sun sets over Vineyard Sound. The Palmer House Inn is located near the village green and just a few steps from the start of the parade route.
