Saturday, August 18th. Palmer House Inn is solidly booked, many rooms with repeat guests here for their annual trip to Falmouth to attend or to run in the Road Race!
The previous hot and muggy days have given way to more comfortable temperatures and gentle sunlight filtered through a layer of fluffy clouds. Right now the inn is quiet, as most of our guests are out enjoying themselves. The housekeeping staff has finished freshening up the rooms and cleaning the common areas. Paulina and Audrie are out buying fresh fruit for tomorrow’s early buffet breakfast.
Some of the guests are starting to filter back into the inn after a morning’s shopping or time spent at the beach, and are resting in their rooms or relaxing on the porch in anticipation of tomorrow’s athletic excitement.
