DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Introduction to Mexican Smalti with Kim Wozniak </st
 rong>Celebrate Cinco de Mayo! This exciting course will introduce students
  to the beauty\, history and versatility of this unique handmade material.
  Students will learn the differences and similarities between Mexican and 
 Italian cut smalti. We will cover basic design\, layout and visual underst
 anding of the material while creating a smalti work of art\, using both an
 cient and contemporary cutting techniques. Each student will learn how to 
 work with the hammer and hardie\, as well as gain an understanding of how 
 to use modern cutting tools. This is a fulfilling learning experience for 
 artists in all mediums and of all levels. The two-day workshop is $285 plu
 s $30 for all materials and supplies. Minimum 8 students required\; please
